The Village of Grand’ Landes is a typical peaceful French village so if you are expecting wild nightlife, this is not the place for  you. The most excitement you will get is when the mobile bread seller or fishmonger  calls. Expect total relaxation with the silence punctuated by the occasional mooing of a cow !!

 

There are some peaceful walks through fields of grape vines and sunflowers' for the energetic, or just sit back and relax with a couple of bottles of the local wine.

 

There is a new bar and restaurant opposite the church along with a small shop that sells basic produce.  Nothing quite as relaxing as sitting on the terrace in the sunshine enjoying a glass of the local Loire wine. 

Spacious and comfortable lounge area with TV and video player (satellite free view provides English TV). Note: A bed settee provides for the occasional guest.

Three views of the Gite:  This was formerly a two room cottage with attached cow shed. The picture in the centre shows  the original building before we started renovation.  A new roof, internal insulation (keeps the cottage cool in summer and warm in winter), new kitchen, shower room and bedrooms, whilst still maintain much of the original 120 year old character.

Modern spacious shower room with WC, basin, towel rail  and washing machine. 

 

2 Comfortable and spacious bedrooms.  Bedroom  1 with double bed and bedroom 2 with twin single beds.    Bedroom 1 has a sliding patio door that opens out on to the drive way next to the rear patio area.

Fully equipped kitchen  with oven, microwave and table seating for 4. All normal utensils and facilities provided.

From around £215 per week (low season).

 

Unlimited occupancy. Two bedrooms. Designed to Sleep 4/6  (2 on bed settee)   Suitable for couples or small family.

                          Single 15 Euros per bed.
